There are pros and cons of using local catchment areas in Singapore.
If we use these areas, we need not build new machines or technologies to create fresher water. This might help save cost for other recreational uses.
Other than that, these local catchment areas might also be dirty and polluted. These will affect the freshness of the water and might not be able to use for safe drinking.
local ctchment is a good way as we will not need to use machineries and best of all it is evvironmentally friendly. But it is very space consuming and that it may not collect enough water for the whole nations usage:)

oh =ya. terrorists can go poison the water as part of warfare, we'll die if we drink it. Its also very dangerous if acid rain occurs. So be careful when you drink local catchment's water!:)
Yes. I think local catchments might be able to help in Singapore's water problems. But we can't rely on just this to resolve all problems. We still need other solutions.
