NEW water is not the complete answer to Singapore's water problems as the recycled water has a slight aftertaste that may not appeal to all. the NEWater has to be mixed with catchment water or imported water to help dilute the taste. thus NEWater cannot be used by its own. btw, FUB rocks.
Maybe ? NEWater solves only part of Singapore's water problems. The process of treating the water is simple and does not require much manpower. However, the technolgy used for NEWater treatment is very expensive. Also, the NEWater plant takes up a lot of space. Singapore is already a small country and if too many plants are built, it might lead to land constraints.
Jonathan Koh, I agree with you for once. I hate the taste. NEWater plants take up spaces, plus in Singapore, we have limited space area. So, I think NEWater plant isn't really dependable afterall! :D
I think it's part of the solution only. I'm not sure if we can depend totally on NEWater.

ReplyDeleteBut the weird taste is still bearable. I think if we keep drinking NEWater, we will get used to it. We are just not used to the weird taste.
